During the premiere episode's conclusion, Matt Walsh and Koko Iwasaki were sent home after performing the cha-cha-cha.
"I am SO proud of Matt and so proud of how he danced tonight with some real chacha steps," Koko said of her and Matt's elimination.
She told her Instagram followers: "He’s a joy of a human, a true student, and I would have him as a partner every season if I could."
Fans wish Artem well
Multiple DWTS fans have taken to the show’s X post announcing that Artem is out tonight due to Covid-19.

Artem is not competing tonight
Due to testing positive for Covid-19, professional dancer Artem Chigvintsev, 41, will no longer be performing with his partner, Charity Lawson, 27.
Artem took to social media to inform his followers of the news, telling them that Charity and Ezra have done an "amazing job" and have been working "really hard."
The official Instagram account for DWTS also shared the announcement, which garnered comments from the stars involved.
